Dingxian county was named Daye. 1995+0 was approved by the State Council to withdraw the county and set up the city of daye city. 1982 On February 23rd, the State Council announced the Tonglushan ancient copper mine site in Daye as a national key cultural relic protection unit. 1994 On March 20th, National Cultural Heritage Administration, People's Republic of China (PRC) officially declared the Tonglushan ancient copper mine site to the United Nations as a world cultural heritage. 200 1 10 2 1 daye city municipal government held a seminar on bronze culture and Daye development. Relevant experts and scholars from Beijing, Hubei and other places attended the meeting and had a heated discussion and research on the related topics of Tonglushan ancient copper mine and Daye development.

More than 50 bronze mining and smelting sites in Daye have been discovered by archaeology, dating back to the middle and late Shang Dynasty 3000 years ago. Archaeological data show that there are a large number of copper mines in Daye area, which are widely distributed, and more than 0/00 village ruins have been found. During the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, there were three ancient cities "Ewangcheng" in Daye and Gaohe. Dajipu "Wulijie Ancient City"; Jinhu "Caowuzui Ancient City". Traces of bronze smelting have been found around these three ancient cities and sites, and ancient mining lanes have also been found near some sites, such as the Lion Mountain site in Tongshankou and the ancient copper smelting site in Tonglushan. Today, we have unearthed a large number of production tools and household appliances in these ancient mines, such as copper axes, copper poles, shovels, boat-shaped barrels, wooden spoons, bamboo baskets, ropes, pottery fragments and so on. In recent years, the Department of History of Wuhan University and the Institute of Archaeology of Hubei Province have made a breakthrough discovery in Panlongcheng, Huangpi, and solved the mystery of the Millennium in one fell swoop. A large number of crucibles, copper billets and smelting slag with different specifications were found in Panlongcheng, Huangpi, and the composition content was completely consistent with that of Tonglushan Mountain in Daye. Geographically, Panlongcheng is located on the main road in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The refined bronzes were transported to all parts of the country. This is the outstanding contribution of Daye in the history of bronze culture mining, smelting and bronze development in China, and it is also the most brilliant page left by Daye in the history of China.
