The teaching room of Foreign Languages College is responsible for the ideological and political education and student management of all undergraduates. There are 4 full-time counselors, all of whom are graduate students.

The guidance room always adheres to the idea of "people-oriented", takes quality education as the theme, aims at serving students, aims at cultivating high-quality talents, takes life guidance, study guidance and career guidance as the main contents, and pays equal attention to individual guidance and collective education to cultivate students' ability to solve problems and adapt to the future society.

The guidance room has been deeply studying the new ways of students' party building work under the new situation. From the beginning of their enrollment, freshmen are educated to join the Party, and activists are regularly trained and improved. In the process of developing party member, the quality is strictly controlled, forming the norms, procedures and systems for the development of college students' party member.

The guidance room pays attention to the cultivation of students' comprehensive ability and carries out campus cultural activities with foreign language characteristics. The annual foreign language culture and art festival has become a brand student activity in the whole school, which has set off a wave of learning foreign languages on campus. There are 10 social practice bases for college students, and they have been rated as the advanced collective of social practice for college students year after year. In 2007, the College was awarded by Dalian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government as an advanced unit for the preparation of the "First Annual Meeting of New Champions-From Davos to Dalian".

The teaching room attaches great importance to the work of poor students and has established the working policy of "solving their poverty and cultivating their spirit" The practical difficulties of poor students can be solved economically through various forms such as counselors donating money to study, providing work-study jobs, granting government scholarships and implementing the "one-yuan dining system". At the same time, pay attention to the personality, psychology and ideological education of poor students, help them overcome their inferiority complex, get out of the predicament, and guide students to grow up positively and healthily.

The counseling room also integrates social, family and school education through telephone communication, counselors' home visits, parent-teacher conferences and other forms to solve various problems in students' thinking, study and life in time.

The student work of the Foreign Languages Institute has always been at the forefront of the whole school. Counseling room has been awarded the title of "Excellent Counseling Room of the School" and "Advanced Employment Unit of Liaoning Normal University" for many years. Four counselors have successively won the titles of "Advanced Individual with Three Educations", "Excellent party member" and "Excellent Counselor", and won the titles of "Excellent Student Workers" at provincial and municipal levels for many times. Brief introduction of counselor and teacher: Li Ming, male, born in April, 1977, party member, CPC. 1995 was admitted to the Geography Teachers College of Urban and Environmental Science of Liaoning Normal University, and obtained the Bachelor of Science degree of 1999. In the same year, he stayed in the middle school attached to Liaoning Normal University to teach. In 2004, he was admitted to the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences of Liaoning Normal University to study for a master's degree, and in 2007, he received a master's degree in science. In the same year, he stayed in school as a student political counselor and doctoral student, and was responsible for the overall work of the 2009 students. Brief Introduction of Instructor: An Huachun, male, born in 1970, with master's degree, party member, CPC. 1995 graduated from the history department of Liaoning Normal University, 13 has been engaged in ideological and political education for students. He has been rated as "Dalian Excellent Student Worker" and "Dalian Excellent Counselor" for many times.
