These six waters were usually known in the past, but in recent years, with the intense urban construction, these waters have been turned into iconic water attractions or parks in the city, and naming their new images has become a hot topic for Du Liang people.

According to the work arrangement of the municipal party committee and municipal government, the Municipal Water Affairs Bureau put forward a naming scheme according to the results of water conservancy census, on-site investigation and the geographical characteristics of lakes and water conservancy projects in Liupanshui City.
