Changes in Ningbo since People's Republic of China (PRC) was founded 60 years ago.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China and the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Ningbo. I recently read two books that have been treasured for 60 years, and what happened 60 years ago is vivid in my mind.

The first information is a "March Situation Map of Our Army", which was printed by the China People's Liberation Army Seventh Corps 22nd Army Foothill Water Newspaper. Collect from 1949.

1949 65438+1October 10, the Huaihai Campaign ended successfully. I was in the supply department of the third column of East China Field Army of China People's Liberation Army. Later, the column was formally reorganized into the 22nd Army of the Seventh Corps of the Third Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

I remember1February 1949, when we set out from Jiawang, I worked as a clerk in the logistics department of the military region. The military division is responsible for the ammunition and military supplies of the whole army. I often serve in the front line. On April 2 1 day, a million troops crossed the river and liberated Nanjing in one fell swoop. On 24th, he crossed the river in Wuhu, Anhui Province, followed by his brothers, and entered the mountainous area of northern Zhejiang via Nanling, Xuancheng, Guangde and Wu Kang. On May 3, Hangzhou was liberated, and our army has arrived in Sandun Town, Yuhang for standby. In mid-May, it crossed the Qiantang River and advanced along the Hangzhou-Ningbo Road to the east of Zhejiang. At dawn on May 19, all our troops arrived at the west bank of Cao 'e River, and the 65th Division was in Dongguan and Cao 'e River areas. Army straight, sixty-six divisions in Daoxu town area; The 64th Division is in Fan Jiang, and my frontal enemies are the enemy 22 1 Division 663rd Regiment and the Haiphong Brigade. They guarded the Cao 'e River and tried to stop me from marching, but they could not resist the blow of our army. On May 23rd, our army liberated Yuyao County.

In the early morning of May 24th, the troops set out from Yuyao and advanced rapidly to Ningbo. They are not afraid of fatigue, hungry and thirsty, and face the urgent battle of the enemy. They crossed the mountains and waded eastward for 60 kilometers. The vanguard troops arrived in Jiangbei suburb of Ningbo at 15: 00 on the same day, 19 1 The 3rd Battalion arrived near Shi Qi in the southern suburb of Ningbo, and intercepted the enemy in Zhejiang Public Security Corps, capturing more than 240 people below the head and deputy head. 195 Regiment encountered an enemy of Regiment 663 in Xishan and Dongshan of Cicheng, that is, crossing the river on foot, chasing an enemy company and forcing them all to surrender; 197 Regiment and Division Reconnaissance Company captured dozens of enemy troops in Beishan, Cixi, entered Camel Bridge and destroyed another company. On that day, Cixi County (now Cicheng) was liberated. Due to the rapid advance of our army, the enemy guarding the city in Ningbo has no intention of defending. The headquarters of the enemy 87 army has fled to Zhenhai, leaving only the enemy 22 1 division to plunder property in the urban area in an attempt to destroy Lingqiao. My 195 regiment learned about the military situation, that is, "Xuchang Company" crossed the Yongjiang River from Xiabaisha, and the company broke through the enemy's barbed wire in the river and crossed six bamboo fences. 194 group crossed Yaojiang River via Wantou, Jiangbei, and joined Lingqiao 195 group via Beijiao Road. The enemy fled when they heard the news, but our army only captured a few enemies.

On the morning of 24th, the 66th Division of our army, which started from Yuyao at the same time, headed east along the north side of Hangyong Road and arrived at the west gate of Ningbo at dusk on 24th. The 64th Division 190 Regiment broke into the urban area at 22: 00 that day. By dawn on the 25th, the whole city of Ningbo was liberated. The 22nd Army Lushui Daily immediately published an editorial entitled Celebrating the Liberation of Ningbo.

Our army's strict discipline and Qiu's action of not committing crimes won the praise of the citizens. Fenghua was liberated on May 25th, Zhenhai was liberated on 26th, Ninghai and Xiangshan were liberated on July 5th and 8th, and Daxie Island was liberated on August18th. At this point, the eastern Zhejiang mainland was completely liberated.

The second piece of information is my treasured newspaper clippings-the news "China People's Liberation Army liberated Ningbo last night" published in Ningbo New Newspaper on May 25th 1949.
