Can I fish in Hou Jing Reservoir?

No fishing. Hou Jing Reservoir, as a water conservancy facility providing farmland irrigation and drinking water, is not a public place open to the public. Reservoir managers do not undertake legal security obligations for unauthorized anglers while fulfilling their due care obligations.

Hou Jing Reservoir in Zhangpu County, Fujian Province is managed by the Reservoir Management Office of Gu Lei Development Zone, and together with Zumalin Reservoir, it undertakes the production and living water guarantee function of Gu Lei Port Economic Development Zone and Du Xun and other towns. In August, 20 13, the management committee of Gu Lei Port Economic Development Zone in Zhangzhou issued a notice explicitly prohibiting swimming, camping, picnicking and fishing, and installed nine warning signs in a conspicuous position on the only road in the reservoir.
