I know many kinds of bridges, including overpasses, railway and highway bridges, cable-stayed bridges, suspension bridges, single-plank bridges, etc. I have seen the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, overpasses in big cities, railway bridges on the Beijing-Kowloon Line, and the Lianxin Bridge in East Lake. However, I like the Hubei-Huang Yangtze River Bridge the most. The E-Huang Yangtze River Bridge spans the Yangtze River and connects Huangzhou and Ezhou. It is a cable-stayed bridge with two tall "H"-shaped hanging towers in the middle. The tower beams are inlaid with six shining golden characters "E-Huang Yangtze River Bridge" inscribed by Li Peng. There are 118 thick steel tubes on each suspension tower, which diagonally pull the bridge body. The total length of the bridge is approximately 2,850 meters, and its main span is 483 meters, ranking first in the country, second in Asia, and fourth in the world. There is a constant flow of cars on the bridge, and boats sail under the bridge day and night. At night, the street lights and spotlights on the bridge are turned on, and the bridge is illuminated, making it appear more majestic and beautiful. The construction of the Hubei-Huang Yangtze River Bridge started in 1998 and was completed and opened to traffic in 2002. After the bridge was opened to traffic, people came to visit it every day.
