What are the characteristics of information security?

Information security usually has the following characteristics:

Confidentiality: ensure that information can only be accessed by authorized personnel and prevent unauthorized personnel from obtaining information.

Integrity: ensure that the information has not been tampered with or damaged, thus ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the information.

Availability: Ensure that information is available when needed and can be restored to its previous state within a predetermined time.

Authentication: Make sure users are who they say they are in order to authorize them to access sensitive information.

Non-repudiation: Ensure that users can't deny the actions they perform or the messages they send.

Traceability: the ability to track and identify users who access or modify information.

These characteristics are usually called the three elements of CIA, namely confidentiality, integrity and availability, and the other three aspects, namely authentication, non-repudiation and traceability. These characteristics are the key elements of information security and the necessary conditions to ensure information security.
