Apple 8 suddenly went black and kept turning, but it couldn't boot. What happened?

On iPhone 8 or newer models including iPhone SE (2nd generation): Press the volume up button, and then release it quickly. Press the volume down button and release it quickly. Then, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

On iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold the side button and the volume down button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

On iPhone 6s and earlier models including iPhone SE (1 generation): Press and hold the Home key and the side key or the top key at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

If your phone still can't be turned on, you may need to charge it, which may take an hour.
