How to set the iPhone ringtone with iTunes on the MacBook is as follows:

1. Open itunes and select File-Add File to Library from the menu bar.

2. Select the song to ring, click "Open" and the song will appear in "Music" of "Music Library".

Right-click the song, select Show Introduction, select Options, fill in Start Time and Stop Time (within 40 seconds), and click OK.

4. Right-click the song again and select "Create ACC Version". A file with the same file name but less than 40 seconds will appear.

5. Right-click the newly created song, select "Display in windows Explorer", change the format of "m4a" to "m4r", and select "Yes" in the pop-up window.

Tick: Open preferences in the edit menu bar of itunes, tick the ringtone in Common-Source, and click OK to see the ringtone in the library. Turn on the "ringtone" and you can see if your file has been turned into a ringtone. Select Ringtones, check Synchronize Ringtones, select All Ringtones or Selected Ringtones, and then select Synchronize.
