Judgment, in legal terms, refers to the document written by the court according to the judgment. It is an applied style commonly used in the legal field, including civil judgment, criminal judgment, administrative judgment and criminal incidental civil judgment.

The Supreme People's Court has issued a new regulation: the effective judgment of the court will be fully published on the Internet from 20 14 10, and the public can consult it at any time except for four types of judgments involving state secrets, personal privacy, juvenile delinquency and improper "exposure".

In order to improve the quality of litigation documents, the Supreme Court has formulated normative, standard and practical document styles of various judicial decisions. Therefore, the writing procedures of all kinds of judgments should meet the requirements of the Supreme Court on making judgments. In a word, judicial decisions must conform to technical specifications and printing specifications.

In terms of technical specifications, first, the font of the document is required to be standardized, that is, the court name uses No.2 Song, the document name uses No.2 Song 1 Song, and the case number and text use No.3 Imitation Song.

Second, it is required to standardize punctuation marks, that is, to abide by the provisions on the use of punctuation marks formulated by the State Language Committee. Third, it requires digital standardization, that is, according to the provisions of the Trial Provisions on the Use of Numbers in Publications and the characteristics of judicial documents, Chinese characters and Arabic numerals should be used correctly.

In terms of printing specifications, first, it is required to standardize the paper used for documents, that is, the judicial judgment documents should use international standard A4 paper.

Third, the document typesetting specification is required, that is, each page of the document should generally be 23-24 lines, each with 28-30 words. The margins are larger than the corners, and the left space is larger than the right space. Page numbers should be marked in the middle or right of the footer.

Fourth, the binding standard is required, that is, if the text of the judicial judgment exceeds two pages, the method of pasting in the left space should be adopted, and the stapler cannot be used for binding. Standardized and rigorous judicial decisions must meet the above standards.
