Hosinokoe, a junior girl, and her classmate A Sheng are lovers. Every time after school, Meijiazi always rides A Sheng's bike home and talks about their future on the road. On a beautiful evening after the rain, Meijiazi looked at the white spaceship rising slowly in the sky and whispered to Ah Sheng, "I'm going to take that spaceship." It turned out that she had been chosen as the driver of the combat robot and was about to set out to pursue Tassian.

14-year-old Meijiazi embarked on a journey to the universe. After receiving intense and short-term training in the Mars circle, she devoted herself to the battle against Tarxian. After the fierce fighting, it has become a compulsory course for the United States and Canada to tell each other their feelings by SMS. However, with the increase of the pursuit distance, the time to send emails is getting longer and longer. One day, January, half a year, a year ... when she was promoted to high school, there was another girl who admired her, but because of Meijiazi's email, he refused that girl on a snowy day. Both of them fell into a lonely wait. Clouds, rain, weeds, classrooms after school, messy telephone poles on the roadside, asphalt roads painted with white lines ... everything that can be seen everywhere in the days together has become something they miss. Meijiazi from outer space said, "Maybe we are the first lovers separated by the universe." A Sheng replied: "Maybe, missing can transcend time and distance."

Finally, in a fierce battle, the earth army had to move to Sirius α and β galaxies 8.6 light years away from the earth because it was outnumbered. On the beautiful grassland of Sirius, in the sun rain, Meijiazi sent this message to Ah Sheng: "24-year-old Sheng, I am Meijiazi of 15 years old, and I found that I still like you very much." This is the personal work of Makoto Shinkai, an independent Japanese animator. 65438-0973 was born in Makoto Shinkai University, majoring in Chinese. After graduation, I worked in a game company, responsible for script development and backstage production.
