In terms of content ability, SMS can only send and receive text messages, and each message can only carry 140 bytes of character information or 70 Chinese characters. Although EMS (Enhanced Message Service) can support graphics, sound and animation information, the format of these data is too simple, and the user's experience of EMS is far less than that of the traditional Internet. And because the size of each SMS message is constant. In order to transmit information exceeding 140 bytes, EMS messages must be divided into multiple SMS messages and then combined on the mobile phone. More importantly, although EMS is also a 3GPP standard, it is not supported by all mainstream mobile phone manufacturers, and there are bound to be obstacles in its promotion. MMS can support rich data formats, including major graphics, images, sounds and animation format standards, and users feel exactly the same as the traditional Internet. In the future, if the bandwidth allows, it can also support streaming media, greatly improving the richness and expressive ability of message content. Moreover, the message size of MMS breaks through the limit of 140 bytes, from tens of kilobytes to hundreds of thousands of bytes, users can almost completely express their ideas without being affected by the amount of information. 4. MMS and SMS are different in network structure. MMS adopts WAP event processing flow, and the receiver actively obtains information from MMSC, which is the same as WAP browsing or downloading.
