Composition of taohuajiang Bridge in Meitan County, Grade I.

On the Huajiang Grand Canyon, which is known as the "ground fissure", the arch ring of Huajiang Bridge with a main span of140m, which was built by the head office, was successfully turned and closed, setting the largest span of similar bridges in China at present.

The 196 1 Qianhuajiang Bridge, which was built by the Provincial Bridge Company, is located at 2 10 of the provincial highway on the Beipanjiang River at the tail of the Dong Qing Hydropower Station reservoir area, and is the traffic artery connecting Guanling and Zhenfeng counties. However, after the hydropower station was completed and impounded, the bridge was submerged. So the Xinhua River Bridge with a total length of 1502 meters was rebuilt at a distance of 1 km from the old bridge.

According to the steep terrain characteristics such as cliffs on both sides of the canyon, Xinhua River Bridge adopts the plane rotation construction technology of open thin-walled box. That is, the axis is first poured under the back wall (pier) of the arch ring of the main bridge on both sides of the river, coated with lubricant, and then the back wall and arch ring are poured. After the axis is rotated and closed, an open full arch is formed. The weight of each drainage faucet is about 3800 tons. The twist on Zhenfeng shore should turn clockwise 172 degrees, and the twist on Guanling shore should turn counterclockwise 102 degrees before it can be closed into an arch.

After 12 workers worked continuously for more than 6 hours, at 2: 34 pm on the 20th, the arch ring of the main bridge on both sides of the strait was successfully closed, thus reconnecting Zhenfeng and Guanling counties. Suddenly, firecrackers exploded, applause thundered and cheers echoed in the canyon for a long time.

Since the official start of construction on May 16, 2008, the Provincial Bridge Company has strengthened safety and quality management, implemented civilized construction, competed with the water level for progress, and successfully closed the arch ring, laying a solid foundation for the 2 10 provincial highway to resume traffic. After the bridge is closed, the second phase of the main arch ring and the construction on the arch will be carried out. It is reported that the whole bridge will be delivered in April next year.
