Legal basis: Article 72 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Public Security Punishment commits one of the following acts, and shall be detained for more than 10 and less than 15, and may be fined less than 2,000 yuan; If the circumstances are minor, they shall be detained for not more than five days or fined not more than 500 yuan: (1) illegal possession of opium less than 200 grams, heroin or methamphetamine less than 10 grams or other small amounts of drugs; (2) Providing drugs to others; (3) taking or injecting drugs; (4) coercing or deceiving medical personnel to prescribe narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs.
