Beijing brand cars:

The first type: state-owned enterprises and institutions in Beijing: one day a week (00:00-24:00), covering all road sections.

The second type: Beijing citizens and private cars: the tail number is restricted, and the time limit is 07:00-20:00. All roads within the Fifth Ring Road (excluding the Fifth Ring Road) are restricted.

Non-Beijing brand cars:

Bus: within the time limit, 07:00-09:00, 17:00-20:00, within the Fifth Ring Road (including the Fifth Ring Road).

Non-passenger cars: the time limit is 09:00- 17:00, and the limit range is within the Fifth Ring Road (including the Fifth Ring Road), and the limit is based on the tail number.

Restrictions in Beijing (including foreign cars):

(1) From April 9, 2008 to July 8, 2008, the tail numbers of motor vehicle number plates from Monday to Friday were: 4 and 9, 5 and 0,1and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8 respectively;

(2) From July 9 to June 7, 2008, the tail numbers of motor vehicle number plates restricted from Monday to Friday are: 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6, 2 and 7 respectively;

(3) From 1 October 8 to1October 6, 2008, the tail numbers of motor vehicle number plates restricted from Monday to Friday are: 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0,1and 6 respectively;

(4) From June 7, 2008 to April 7, 2008, the tail numbers of motor vehicle license plates restricted from Monday to Friday were 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0 respectively.

The following motor vehicles are not subject to the above measures:

(1) Police cars, fire engines, ambulances and engineering rescue vehicles;

(II) Buses, inter-provincial long-distance passenger vehicles, large buses with Beijing number plates, taxi B number plates (excluding rental vehicles), minibuses, special postal vehicles, vehicles with tourist bus operation certificates issued by the municipal traffic management department, and unit buses and school buses approved by the municipal public security traffic management department;

(3) The car body shall be painted with uniform signs, and the vehicles for administrative law enforcement and special vehicles for emergency rescue when performing official duties;

(four) special vehicles for sanitation, landscape and road maintenance, funeral vehicles for funeral homes;

(5) Vehicles with prefix and vehicles temporarily allowed to enter the country;

(6) Pure electric passenger cars (electric passenger cars with rechargeable batteries as the only power source).
