The trial traffic section of the west section of Shijiazhuang South Ring Expressway starts from the interchange between the Third Ring Road and the Southeast Ring Road and ends at the Jingxing Hub Interchange of Pingzan Expressway. The total length of the line is 43.9 kilometers, and it passes through four counties and districts in turn: High-tech Zone, Luancheng District, Luquan District and Jingxing County. The upper and lower highway intersections are: Third Ring Southwest Ring Interchange, Yangjiaozhuang Toll Station, Beizhai Toll Station and Jingxing Interchange. After the trial operation of this section, it will add a convenient and fast passage to the southwest of the provincial capital, effectively improving the traffic capacity of the southwest and the traffic service level of towns along the route.

Pingzan Expressway Shijiazhuang Branch Jicun South Road Section

At present, the South Ring Expressway is undergoing ETC toll networking debugging, and it is not interconnected with other expressways for the time being, and only small vehicles are allowed to pass for free. During the commissioning period, according to the needs of the project, the construction will be interrupted from time to time, and the ETC network commissioning will be completed, and the operation will be officially charged.

The main line of Shijiazhuang South Ring Expressway is 52.89 kilometers long. The route starts from Jingxing Interchange of Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Expressway, intersects with Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Expressway and connects with Pingzan Expressway. Go east along the south side of Hengjing Highway, enter the Taihang Extra-long Tunnel (about 5km long) on the northwest side of Wang Dou Tomb, connect Yin Qing Expressway to the east, and then connect with the South Ring Road of Zheng Xiliang Third Ring Road, and rebuild the section of the South Ring Road from14.2km to the east. Combined with Shi Heng Expressway, this project will form the main channel of "connecting the east with the west" in the south of the provincial capital and a new "city chain" in Shanxi, Hebei and Shandong. Solve the problems of Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Expressway, National Highway 307 and Hengjing Highway. The transformation is complicated and difficult, and the Jingxing to the urban area is shortened to17km. Next year, the remaining project of the South Ring Expressway will be completed, forming the outer ring of the provincial capital 120 km expressway, which will make the transportation conversion function of the provincial capital more convenient.

The Shijiazhuang branch line of Pingzan Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the branch line) has a total length of 24 kilometers, starting from the interchange of Shijiazhuang southwest ring hub of South Ring Expressway, passing through Luquan District, and connecting with Pingzan main line in Beizheng Township of Yuanshi County. The trial operation section is from Shijiazhuang southwest ring interchange of South Ring Expressway to the south left section17km. Previously, on September 30, 20 19, the branch line from Nanzuo to Beizheng Interchange was advanced by 7 kilometers. The Jicun-Zuo Wei section was officially opened to traffic, and the Jicun toll station was opened at the same time. The trial run section of the South Ring Expressway from Jicun North to Shijiazhuang Southwest Ring Hub 10.5km is restricted to small passenger cars, and large vehicles are prohibited from passing in both directions. At present, the traffic mode is that vehicles traveling from Shijiazhuang Southwest Ring Hub of South Ring Expressway to Xingtai (Taiyuan) must first get off at Jicun Toll Station, turn around and get on the bus, and then go to Xingtai (Taiyuan); Vehicles traveling from Xingtai (Taiyuan) to Shijiazhuang need to pay tolls at the next stop of Jicun Toll Station. Small passenger cars can turn around and get on the bus (without licensing) and then drive in the direction of Shijiazhuang and enter the South Ring Expressway. The trial operation of Shijiazhuang branch line of Pingzan Expressway connects the southwest ring hub of Shijiazhuang with the main line of Pingzan Expressway into a road network, which greatly shortens the travel time from the urban area to Zanhuang County, Zhangshiyan and Qipanshan scenic spots, provides faster and more efficient transportation services for the southwest of the provincial capital, and will effectively promote the regional economic and tourism development along Zanhuang and Jingxing.

Jicun Toll Station is located in Jicun Town, Yuanshi County, Shijiazhuang City, with four entrances and exits, two of which are ETC mixed lanes. From the station, you can reach Shijiazhuang in the north and Xingtai and Taiyuan in the south. The station is connected with Zhuangyuan Road. Vehicles can get off at Jicun Toll Station, and then go southbound via Zhuangyuan Road for about 15 minutes to reach Beaulieu Lake Scenic Area. At the same time, the opening of the station will effectively divert the traffic pressure of trucks in Yuanshi County and greatly ease the traffic situation on Zhuangyuan Road.

Pingzan Expressway is an important part of Taihang Mountain Expressway, with a total construction mileage of 147.5km (main line 82km, branch line 24km, connecting line 410.5 km), a total investment of1485 million yuan and eight toll stations. Up to now, Pingzan Expressway has opened five toll stations, including Zanhuang West, Cangyan Mountain, Yuantou Toll Station and Jicun and Nanzuo Toll Station. The rest of the main line, Shiqiyu, Weishui toll station and branch line, Sijiazhuang toll station, are under construction and will be opened one after another.
