What if Huawei routers forget their passwords?

If you forget the login password and Wi-Fi password of the router at the same time, you can restore the router to the factory and reset it: press and hold the reset button of the router with a needle for more than 2 seconds (or press and hold the H (or Hi) button 10 seconds), release it after the indicator light goes out, and then reset the router according to the instructions.

If you remember the login password of the router, you can check the Wi-Fi password by the following methods:

Method 1: View through Huawei Smart Life App (formerly Smart Home App);

1. Connect the phone to the router's Wi-Fi.

2. Open the Huawei Smart Life App (formerly Smart Home App) in the mobile phone and log in to the Huawei account bound by the router.

3. Click the router to be viewed on the homepage to enter the router management page. Click to see more > Wi-Fi management > Wi-Fi settings again.

4. Open the password display icon on the right side of the Wi-Fi password input field to view the current Wi-Fi password.

Method 2: view it through the computer Web configuration interface;

1. The computer connects to the router's Wi-Fi (or the computer connects to the router's LAN interface).

2. Open a computer browser and enter192.168.3.1in the browser address bar to enter the router Web configuration interface.

3. Click on My Wi-Fi to open the password display icon on the right side of the Wi-Fi password to view the current Wi-Fi password.
