Dad came to visit me in America in June. I was excited all night when I picked him up. Two friends stayed with me at my house and were very happy. My father and I went to Los Angeles to play Universal Studios, visited downtown Los Angeles, the largest Chinese community in Los Angeles, and went to Santa Monica Beach. My dad said the beach, the sea, the blue sky and the white clouds are beautiful. I went to Las Vegas, an oasis in the desert, a city with dollars piled up, and the largest casino in the world. In America, I still have problems with my father about this matter. My father thinks I spend too much money. Actually, I just want him to have fun, have fun. Encounter on the plane

I met a Canadian girl on the plane back home, because I changed planes in Vancouver, Canada. Last week, the foreign language center of our school invited us to attend a meeting to communicate with their bosses and department heads. Because I used to be in charge of many things in my freshman year, I talked a lot. They invited me to attend their seminar this week, and I readily accepted. I also fully considered it for a long time before deciding whether to accept this position, provided that it will not affect my study. Secondly, I have made up my mind that I will have a lot of contact with the managers of the international language center in the future. This will help me practice my spoken English or increase my future work experience. The seniors also said that they would hire people to work part-time in the future.
