Why can't Xiaomi mobile phone change its ringtone in the settings?

This is caused by the wrong setting method.

Here, taking Xiaomi 6X mobile phone as an example, the method of setting the ringtone is as follows:

First click the "Settings" icon on the mobile phone desktop, as shown in the figure.
