Will veterans be recalled?

Legal analysis: when the country is in a state of war, it can conditionally recall veterans. Although retired soldiers have lived in society, they have learned a lot of military knowledge during their days in the army. The state stipulates that these demobilized soldiers are still part of the Chinese armed forces, that is, the reserve forces. The following are the situations in which veterans may be recalled: First, when the war broke out, according to the wartime mobilization order, the reserve forces were directly transferred to active service. Once the war breaks out, the reserve forces can be quickly converted into active forces to participate in the war, thus making up for the possible shortage of troops. Second, the state will also recall retired soldiers when it is necessary to maintain social stability in an emergency. Third, during military exercises, retired soldiers can participate in military exercises in the market, so that their military skills will not be unfamiliar and they can be called at any time in wartime or emergency.

Article 44 After the state has issued a mobilization order or the State Council and the Central Military Commission (CMC) have taken necessary national defense mobilization measures in accordance with the People's Republic of China (PRC) National Defense Mobilization Law, people's governments at all levels and military organs at all levels must mobilize quickly according to law, soldiers should stop retiring from active service, and soldiers on leave or visiting relatives should immediately return to their troops. Reserve personnel should be prepared to be called up for active service at any time, and citizens who have registered for reserve service should be prepared to be called up for reserve service.

Article 45 In wartime, the State Council and the Central Military Commission (CMC) may decide to appropriately relax the upper age limit for recruiting male citizens for active service, and may decide to extend the time limit for citizens to serve in active service.
