Apple SMS location sharing

Share the location via SMS on Apple's mobile phone, but because your settings are not turned on, you can't view the other person's location when you open the map. Here are the specific steps to share the location:

Choose when to share: Home sharing allows you to decide whether to share the location with your family. To see if you are sharing, please follow these steps:

Go to location sharing settings.

If you are using iOS 1 1 or later, click settings > [your name] > home sharing.

If you are using iOS 10.3, tap settings > [your name ]”>“I cloud.

Tap share my location >

Select the device you want to share your location with.

Location sharing and "Find My iPhone"

If you join family sharing, choose to share your location with family members, who can find the lost equipment for you and ensure the safety of the equipment.

If you turned on Find My iPhone on a lost device, family members can help you:

View the location of the device and whether it is online or offline.

Play sound on the lost device to help you find the device.

If the device is set with a password, it can enter "lost mode".

If you don't share the location, family members will not be able to access the location information of your device. Even without location information, family members can still help you. They can check whether the lost device is online or offline, play sound on the device, or put the device in "lost mode".
