The latest news that Google can use computer browsers to send text messages to Android phones

Google’s Android messaging app may be updated and add some new features. The most novel thing is that you may be able to pair your phone and computer and send text messages directly from browsers such as Chrome, Firefox and Safari, just like the Allo messaging app.

But unlike Allo, AndroidMessages helps you send SMS text messages instead of network messages. To use this feature, you need to scan the QR code on your PC or Mac and then pair the device. The code for this function appears in the latest AndroidMessages2.9 version APK, but currently this function cannot be used normally.

There are also codes for some other new features in this APK, such as a down payment feature similar to Google Pay, and a feature called Google Enhanced Messaging similar to Gmail, Allo and Inbox smart replies.

It can be seen that Google may be trying to reshape the Android Messages application and turn it into an SMS text messaging application similar to Allo.
