How to restore default software permissions on OPPO phones?

Where are application permissions and how to manage application permissions? Many apps we download require us to enable some permissions during use, such as: location information, text messages, camera, phone, storage space, etc. So where do we turn it on? Or, if we want to turn off some of the permissions we have turned on, how do we do it? Next, we will introduce how to set application permissions.

1. Permission management in "Mobile Manager" APP

Enter ""Mobile Manager" APP > Permission Privacy > Permission Management (Application Permissions)" and set application permissions according to actual needs.

2. Permission management in settings

ColorOS 12 and above: Go to "Settings > Permissions and Privacy > Permission Management" on your phone and set application permissions according to actual needs.

ColorOS version 11.0-11.3: Go to "Settings > Privacy (Application Management) > Permission Management" on your phone and set application permissions according to actual needs.

ColorOS version 7.0-7.2: Go to "Settings > Security (Application Management) > Application Permissions" on your phone and set application permissions according to actual needs.

3. Single application permission management

To set desktop application permissions individually, you can long press the desktop "application icon> click "Application Information (Details)" > Application Permissions" according to actual needs Set app permissions.

4. When setting application permissions, you can turn on the "Automatically reset permissions after the application is idle" switch. For applications that have not been used for a long time (several months in a row), the system will reset their permissions and the application will be available again. When used, you need to apply for the required permissions again.

(1) ColorOS 12 and above: "Settings > Permissions and Privacy > Permission Management > Find the corresponding application and click > "If this permission is not used, remove the relevant permissions."

(2) ColorOS version 11.0-11.3: "Settings > Application Management > Permission Management > Find the corresponding application and click > "Automatically reset permissions after the application is idle."

5. The ColorOS 12 system has a new “positioning permission selection” function:

When an application applies for positioning permission (location information), there will be “fuzzy positioning” and “precise positioning ( Position)" option, a pop-up box allows you to choose. You can still use the app normally without providing your precise location information and protect your location privacy information.

Note: There are model differences in this function, please refer to the actual display. The fuzzy positioning function requires access from third-party applications, and some applications may not support it. This function will display a setting reminder when the application applies for positioning permission, please pay attention to the settings.

Warm reminder:

If a single application has not requested any permissions before, application permissions cannot be set by long pressing the application icon. Application permissions need to be turned on or off through the "Mobile Manager" APP or phone settings.
