Basic information of WBC World Professional Boxing Championship

WBC (World Boxing Council) has the largest number of member associations (162) and the greatest influence among the four boxing organizations in the world. The event held in Chengdu is the first boxing championship in China approved by the organization. This competition not only has a large number of participants, but also has a wide international scope. Its overall level, organization and promotion of events and international influence are the highest in China so far. Compared with several international professional boxing competitions held in Kunming and Guangzhou before, none of the China boxers who participated in this competition made their debut in professional boxing. They all had several professional boxing experiences, among which Wu Zhiyu and Yan Huang won three out of three, and Qi Moxiang won three and lost two. Therefore, whether it is competition experience, confrontation and fighting ability, or the quality of professional boxers, it has been significantly improved than in the past.
