The main responsibilities of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education:

(1) To implement the educational policies, laws and regulations of the Party and the state, study major issues concerning the educational reform and development of the whole province, guide and coordinate the relevant educational work of various localities and departments, be responsible for the ideological construction of the Party, the construction of leading bodies and the ideological and political work in colleges and universities, assist the provincial party committee and the provincial government in handling unexpected events in colleges and universities, and maintain the stability of colleges and universities.
