How to make your own ringtone?

Ringtone is an important symbol of mobile phone, through which users can judge whether there is an incoming call, and others can also know your aesthetic and other information. However, after buying a mobile phone, many users only use their own ringtones by default, and at most choose to switch among their own ringtones. In fact, in order to better distinguish it from other mobile phones, we can make our own personalized ringtones.

On-line editing of ringtone files

We don't need to install software, we can achieve the above requirements through Ringer's online website. After opening the website, first select "Chinese" in the language list at the top of the webpage to switch the webpage to the Chinese interface. Next, click the "Upload Document" button and select the audio material file to be processed in the pop-up dialog box. The website supports audio formats such as MP3, allowing users to upload multiple audio materials at one time, thus editing multiple materials at the same time in a website.

After uploading the audio material file, click the name of the material to be edited in the list, and you can see the content of the audio information in the following figure. Now, let's click the play button in the toolbar to preview the material file online. When you have finished playing the desired music clip, click the Pause button in the toolbar, and then drag the slider in the upper left corner of the audio spectrum to position it at the beginning of the ringtone. Next, let's continue to click the play button. When we reach the end of the desired music piece, we press the pause button again and drag the slider in the upper right corner of the audio spectrum to find it. If the user feels that dragging the slider can't locate accurately, he can also directly enter the specific accurate time in the "Start Time" and "End Time" input boxes (Figure 1).

After determining the range of ringtones, click the play button in the toolbar, and the website will play the selected area circularly. If there is a problem, you can readjust the area by the above method. If there is no problem, you can choose the output method of the file and click the "Make ringtone" button. In this way, you can crop the selected area. After the cutting is successful, a dialog box will pop up. Click the "Download" button in the window to complete the production of mobile phone ringtones (Figure 2).

Tip: In terms of file output format, this online service provides M4R and MP3. If the user uses an Apple device, select M4R.

Add a fade-in effect

Many users like to add some fade-in and fade-out effects when using mobile phone ringtones, so as not to scare themselves when the mobile phone rings suddenly. If you want this effect, you can try Audio Trimmer (), upload the audio to be processed, and then select it in the Fade-in/Fade-out list. Users can choose "Fade in" to add a fade-in effect or "Fade out" to add a fade-out effect. Of course, they can also directly select "Both" in the list to add fade-in and fade-out effects (Figure 3). After all the settings are completed, click the "Cut" button to make the ringtone.

Tip: Compared with Ringer, Audio Trimmer has more comprehensive functions, but Audio Trimmer doesn't provide a Chinese interface, which makes it difficult for friends who don't know English. In addition, Audio Trimmer clearly limits the file size, and files exceeding 100MB will not be directly processed, while Ringer supports files exceeding 100MB (the upper limit is unclear). So if you just want to do simple editing of audio files, it is more convenient to use Ringer than Audio Trimmer.

Convert the bit rate of ringtones

Sometimes we will find that the generated ringtone is very big, which is not conducive to operating in our mobile phone. The reason why this happens is mainly because the material we use uses a relatively high bit rate. In order to solve this problem, we can convert the generated ringtone into a lower bit rate through file conversion, thus reducing the file size.

First, on the page of Audio Trimmer online service, click the "MP3 Converter" link at the top, and then click the "Select File" button in the pop-up page to select the ringtone file you just created. Next, select the "Small (64k)" option at the bottom of the "Bit Rate" list, and then click the "Convert" button to start the conversion. After the file is converted, it is downloaded to the local hard disk according to the prompt (Figure 4), and finally transmitted to the mobile phone for application.

Adjust the ringtone playback speed

In addition to editing the content of audio material, we sometimes need to make necessary adjustments to its rhythm. For example, if users feel that the default status is slow, we can speed it up, and vice versa.

Now click the "Speed Changer" link at the top of the online service page, or click the "Select File" button in the page, and select the material file to adjust the speed change in the pop-up dialog box. Next, click on the "Speed" list and select the multiple of the speed change in the list as needed. The online service can choose the speed change setting from 0.5 times to 2 times (Figure 5). Click the "Change Speed" button after setting, you can set the speed of the material file, and then download it to the local hard disk for operation.

Fast realization of inversion effect

Now there is a brand-new special effect, that is, rewinding multimedia files to get a brand-new feeling. The online service "Audio Trimmer" can also achieve similar operations very conveniently. First, click the "Audio Reverser" link at the top of the online service page, upload the file according to the previous method, and then click the "Reverse it" button to rewind the file (Figure 6).
