This form is no longer used in the civil service examinations for central and state agencies, but some local examinations still use this form.

There are some changes in the application examinations for civil servants in central and state agencies. The second question is to propose countermeasures, and the third question is to state the discussion. Writing argumentative essays generally involves asking questions, analyzing problems, and solving problems. There may be duplication between the second and third questions. In fact, if candidates can accurately grasp the requirements of the essay examination, there will be no duplication. Why do you say that? Because the countermeasures proposed in the second question are mainly to propose solutions to the specific problems or specific phenomena discussed in the data, while the third question requires candidates to improve on this problem, that is, to analyze the given material and conclude that the material mainly expresses What kind of topic, choose another angle to discuss on this topic.

To give an example, in September this year, there was a question in the Liaoning Provincial Judicial System Examination, which was about "irrational consumption of college students." For such materials, the second question was to propose countermeasures and suggestions. How to solve the problem of irrational consumption of college students, but when it comes to writing an argumentative essay in the third question, candidates should think about what kind of theme "irrational consumption of college students" mainly reflects, which may be related to our current situation. Hot topics are related, such as the "Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces" and the socialist concept of honor and disgrace, especially the "taking pride in hard work and shame in arrogance and luxury". This way, the second question is mainly about talking about How to solve the irrational consumption of college students. The third question mainly talks about how to work hard or the higher-level issues of "Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces", so as to avoid duplication.

But no matter what, the second and third questions are fundamentally repetitive. So change. The second type of question becomes analysis of strategy effectiveness.

The second examination format: Countermeasure Effectiveness Analysis

What is Countermeasure Effectiveness Analysis? The first question is still a comprehensive summary. The second question no longer asks the examinee to propose countermeasures. Instead, the questioner proposes several countermeasures and suggestions for a relatively minor issue reflected in the material, allowing the examinee to make a judgment on which ones are correct and which ones are not. Correct, pick out the incorrect ones and explain the reasons. The third question is still a statement. Such a change can avoid candidates' doubts to a certain extent. But for the civil service examination, the second question still tests the ability to solve problems, and it will still overlap with the third question, so it will evolve into a "new syllogism". This was very clear in the civil service examination of central and state agencies last year. of manifested.

The third examination format: New syllogism

The first question is still a summary, and the second question mainly asks what is the difference between the two paragraphs, which is different from the past. This focuses on examining an analytical ability. In other words, the second question of "New Syllogism" is to conduct analysis. The third question is to directly ask the candidates to make suggestions, instead of writing their own argumentative essays from a prescriptive perspective. In last year's civil service examination for central and state agencies, the third question was "Can you please talk about how to improve the government's ability to respond to public emergencies?" This is different from the previous requirements. Why is it different? Here we will talk directly about countermeasures, because the questions have already been raised in the second part, so we can just make suggestions directly in the third part.
