In order to recover the short message content in Android phone, we need to get ROOT permission on Android phone first. You can use mobile phone management tools such as "Brush Wizard", "360 Mobile Assistant", "Zhuo Dashi" and "Baidu One-click ROOT" to obtain ROOT rights of your mobile phone.

Install RE File Manager for Android phones. Open this tool, enter the "data \ data \ com.android.telephony \ databases" folder in turn, check the "mmsms.db" file and "mmssms.db-wal" file, and click the "Copy" button in the lower left corner. If you can't find the file "mmssms.db-wal", just tick "mmsmss.db" to copy it.

Then keep clicking the "upper folder" button until you return to the "root directory", click the "copy here" button, and click "OK" in the pop-up window to complete the file copy operation.

Connect the mobile phone to the computer, open the drive letter where the mobile phone is located, and copy the mmsms.db and mmssms.db-wal files just copied to the sd card to a folder in the computer.

Note: If there is no mmssms.db-wal file, just copy the mmsms.db file.
