Several steps of ByteDance’s internal promotion are very time-consuming:

After submitting the resume, the HR will generally first screen the resume. If passed, the resume will be evaluated by the business side. If you pass, you will enter the written test/interview (social recruitment and daily internships usually do not have a written test and are directly interviewed). The interview is usually 3 business interviews and 1 HR interview. If you pass the interview, you will enter the internal offer approval process.

Under normal circumstances, one node takes a week. Of course, due to the large number of people in school recruitment, the process will be slower. For example, written examinations are organized in batches. The time for the centralized written test for school recruitment is generally announced on the school recruitment official website. If you enter the written test, there will also be a text message/email reminder.

If you are in the evaluation status, it may be that the business interviewer delayed and did not give an evaluation in time, or it may be that the business side gave an evaluation but the HR did not update the status. Of course, it may also be hung up. However, if you can contact your referral, you can ask him to contact HR to confirm the progress.
