What does sos call for help mean?

This is the distress function set by the mobile phone watch.

Specially designed for children's distress function, when children are in danger, they can press SOS and automatically send distress reminders to all parents' mobile phones bound with watches, so that parents can know their children's condition in time and call the police for handling.

SOS is an international distress signal. In daily life, SOS is usually understood as "saving our ship" and "saving our soul". However, it didn't mean anything when the specification was made, just because Morse code is all-dot and all-horizontal, which is convenient for recording.

SOS was first adopted in April 1905, which was stipulated by the German government in the Regulations on Radio Management. It became an international standard on 1906 1 1.3 (CQD distress signal was also used before, but it did not become a standard).

It was widely used after 1 908 July1. The reason why the new distress signal was formulated as SOS was because the anti-jamming technology at that time was very poor. The commonly used CQD signal is because the transmission code is long and the symbols of the code are inconsistent, while S and O are rare continuous codes in Morse code, which are easier to be used by operators. And SOS will become an easy-to-remember and practical way to ask for help in the future.

With the development of modern radio communication technology, ships and spacecraft use Morse code for communication less and less. So SOS has gradually stopped except amateur radio and changed to GMDSS (International Maritime Satellite Electronic Communication Equipment).
