Seven new cases of foreign positive input were reported in Nan 'ao, Shantou.

On July 7, 2022, a fishing boat carrying nine fishermen in Nan 'ao County returned to Hong Kong, and none of the nine fishermen landed. The relevant departments of our county conducted nucleic acid sampling on fishing boats according to regulations, and found that the initial screening results of 7 people including Jiang were abnormal. The epidemic prevention and control headquarters in COVID-19, a city and county, immediately launched an emergency mechanism to control nine fishermen, and at the same time carried out flow adjustment and environmental disinfection. After review by the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the nucleic acid test results of 7 fishermen including Jiang were positive, while the nucleic acid test results of the other 2 fishermen in the same boat were negative. At present, seven fishermen, including Jiang, have been transported to special isolation places in a closed loop for isolation medical observation, and the remaining two fishermen have implemented centralized isolation medical observation as required.

Combined with epidemiological history, clinical manifestations and laboratory test results, the expert group determined that all 7 fishermen were imported positive cases, of which 3 cases were diagnosed as asymptomatic infection and 4 cases as confirmed cases.
