Why can't SMS sync to apple watch?

Since Apple's Apple Watch is connected to the iPhone, don't think that deleting the SMS content on the iPhone will be fine. When we receive a message, it will be stored on iPhone and Apple Watch respectively, so if we want to delete the message, we need to delete it on both sides.
