Why do all newly bought mobile phones have text messages?

Not necessarily used. My friend's LG mobile phone, I insert my card into her LG, and her mobile phone will automatically transfer the information in my mobile phone card to her mobile phone. Every time my mobile phone runs out of power, after I borrow her mobile phone to insert the card, the information on the card and the phone book information are all gone, but they are all in her card.
