Internal organizations of Weihai Municipal Education Bureau

Based on the above responsibilities, the Municipal Education Bureau has seven functional departments.

(1) Office (with the name of Foreign Affairs Department).

(2) Political Science and Engineering.

Responsible for the personnel and labor wage management of agencies and directly affiliated units; responsible for service work for retired personnel of the bureau; guiding the construction of a team of young and middle-aged academic backbones and subject leaders; planning and guiding faculty and staff of various schools in the city and the construction of a team of educational administrative cadres; guide the reform of the school's internal personnel and distribution system; be responsible for the employment guidance of normal graduates in the city; be responsible for the construction of spiritual civilization, comprehensive management of social security and family planning work in agencies and directly affiliated units; be responsible for the party affairs of the system, Group and united front work; guide the work of education-related societies, associations, foundations and other social organizations.

(3) Planning and Finance Section (branded as Audit Section).

Formulate medium- and long-term plans and annual plans for the city's education development; be responsible for macro-guidance and management of the layout and structural adjustment of schools at all levels and types; be responsible for the preparation of infrastructure investment plans for bureau-affiliated schools and directly-affiliated public institutions and management of special funds for infrastructure construction; formulate policies and regulations for multi-channel financing of education funds, education investment and education fund management, supervise and inspect the implementation of superior education charging policies and regulations, monitor the financing and use of education funds; prepare and report municipal education funds Propose plans for annual budgets and final accounts, manage the business expenses and special funds of affiliated schools and directly affiliated units; be responsible for the management of state-owned assets of agencies and directly affiliated units; be responsible for the internal audit work of agencies and directly affiliated units; guide and supervise primary and secondary school fees and school building renovation work ; Responsible for the statistics, analysis, release of basic education information and the development and construction of information systems.

(4) Basic Education Section.

Comprehensively manage the city’s basic education (excluding preschool education), organize and implement nine-year compulsory education; formulate the school system, training objectives, curriculum and layout adjustment opinions for the city’s basic education in accordance with relevant national and provincial regulations , inspect the implementation of teaching plans; be responsible for the enrollment, student status management, graduation examinations and graduation certificate verification of ordinary high schools in the city; manage physical education, health education and art education in primary and middle schools in the city; coordinate and guide national defense education in schools in the city and military training for middle school students; responsible for audio-visual education.

(5) Comprehensive Education Section.

Comprehensively manage the city's vocational and technical education, adult education, social schools and the eradication of illiteracy among young and middle-aged people, formulate development plans and evaluation standards; coordinate and guide the education and teaching reform of various vocational schools and adult schools; plan , guide self-study examinations, employee education, correspondence education and post-college continuing education; participate in the establishment of vocational schools and adult schools, student status management and graduation certificate verification; be responsible for the cultivation and training of principals and teachers of primary and secondary schools in the city's education system; be responsible for City-wide language and writing work.

(6) Preschool education department.

Implement the laws, regulations and policies of the party and the state on early childhood education, and formulate the city's early childhood education development plan in conjunction with relevant departments; be responsible for the registration of kindergartens in the city and the classification guidance of various kindergartens; guide young children Responsible for the teaching and scientific research of education, responsible for the training of kindergarten directors and teachers; responsible for the specific work of the Municipal Child Care Leading Group Office.

(7) Municipal Education Supervision Office.

Implement the relevant national and provincial policies and regulations on education supervision, and supervise, inspect, evaluate, and guide the education work of lower-level governments, lower-level education administrative departments and schools.
