Why does PICC have to wait for notice to receive auto insurance compensation?

PICC auto insurance claims and detailed handling methods are as follows:

Protect the site and take necessary emergency rescue measures.

Call China People's Insurance Company at 955 18 immediately or report to China People's Insurance Company by fax if possible. The claim service personnel of China People's Insurance Company will inquire about the accident, assist in arranging rescue, inform the follow-up claim processing flow and instruct the police, and call the police first in case of emergency.

With the assistance of the claim adjuster of PICC Auto Insurance Company or its entrusted assessment agency, technical appraisal agency and overseas agent, go to the scene of the accident to investigate the accident, understand the losses involved, consult and preliminarily collect the evidence and materials related to the nature, causes and losses of the accident, confirm whether the accident belongs to insurance liability, and entrust a special technical appraisal department or scientific research institution to provide professional technical support when necessary. PICC Auto Insurance Company will instruct you to fill in the accident notice (claim application) and issue the claim notice.

* * * Confirm the loss scope, loss quantity, loss degree, loss amount and other loss contents of the insured property, and the compensation contents of personal injury, rescue and other related expenses, determine the repair methods and expenses of the damaged property, and entrust a qualified third-party loss appraisal and evaluation agency to provide professional technical support when necessary.

According to the written claim notice, submit all the materials required for the claim, and PICC will timely review and confirm the authenticity and completeness of the submitted claim materials. In the case of incomplete claim materials, PICC will promptly notify and supplement relevant materials, and in the case of doubt about the authenticity of claim materials, PICC will promptly investigate and verify them.

In the case that the submitted claims materials are true and complete, PICC Auto Insurance Company will accurately calculate the amount of insurance claims according to the insurance contract and relevant laws and regulations, conduct internal audit of claims, and reach a final compensation agreement with them.

PICC Auto Insurance Company pays the compensation according to the agreed payment method and insurance contract.

If an insured accident is caused by damage to the subject matter insured by a third party, PICC will sign a transfer of rights and interests after paying compensation according to the insurance contract and relevant laws and regulations, and assist PICC to recover from the third party.
