The finale of bomb squad 1: Zhang died heroically on the mountain. Hong Jipeng deliberately designed a complicated bomb to get back at Zhang Zaishan. Shock Wave 2 is a gangster action film produced by Bona Film Group Co., Ltd., Universal Entertainment Co., Ltd. and Dreamer Entertainment Co., Ltd., directed by Qiu Litao and starring Andy Lau, Jiang Wu and Song Jia. The film was released in China on April 28th, 217. The film tells the story of a criminal attack in the Hong Kong Red Tunnel.

Synopsis

Zhang Zaishan is a senior inspector of the explosive ordnance disposal bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force. Seven years ago, he lurked into the criminal gang of Hong Jipeng, the most wanted man. In an action of robbing the vault, Zhang Zaishan revealed his identity as an undercover in the bomb squad, cooperated with the police, successfully stopped the explosion, and caught Hong Jipeng and his brother's criminal organization in the net. Unfortunately, in a close call, Hong Jipeng escaped and threatened to take revenge.

After being reinstated, Zhang Zaishan was quickly promoted to bomb squad of the police force. Seven years later, Hong Kong suffered terrorist attacks one after another, and the police even received a tip that a large number of explosives had been smuggled into Hong Kong. All indications indicated that there would be a major case in Hong Kong. Just as people in Hong Kong were in panic, the busiest cross-harbour tunnel in the city was blocked by bandits, and hundreds of hostages were held hostage. Finally, Hong Jipeng appeared and threatened the police to blow up the tunnel. Only by bringing Hong Jipeng to justice can Zhang Zaishan dismantle the shocking conspiracy behind this anti-terrorism storm.
