Wireless can surf the Internet, but check the basic network information and set up the connection. That's a red cross.

The wireless network can be used, indicating that the broadband is normal, and the connection icon shows a red cross. The driver of the computer network card may not be installed correctly, so you can reinstall the driver and try again. If it is a computer system problem, you can try to deal with it in the following ways:

(1) to reset the network: press WIN+R to enter CMD on the desktop, and then click OK to open the command prompt window. Press win+X to open the command prompt directly, and enter: netsh winsock reset in the command prompt. A success prompt will appear later: Successfully reset Winsock directory/restart the computer to complete the reset.

(2)IP address and DNS identification: Open the computer's control panel, click Network Connection, select Local Connection, right-click the icon of Local Connection and select Properties, double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the General tab, select the following IP address, and fill in "192" in the IP address. Please note that the IP must be on the same network segment as the IP address of the modem. If it is a wireless network, you can click the network icon on the desktop taskbar, open the Network and Sharing Center, click Local Area Connection, click Properties, double-click IPV4, and set the IP address and DNS to be obtained automatically.

(3) There is something wrong with the network card's working mode: you can find the computer's "My Computer" icon, right-click, select "Management-Device Manager-Point to Network Adapter", find the network card, then right-click the network card and set the network card's working mode to 10m half duplex in "Properties-Advanced-Media Type or Link Speed".
