The tripartite agreement is essentially a contract. According to Article 94 of the Contract Law, after one party breaches the contract, the other party may terminate the contract and investigate the liability for breach of contract.

According to the provisions of Article 96 of the Contract Law, if one party claims to terminate the contract in accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 93 and Article 94 of this Law, it shall notify the other party. When the notice reaches the other party, the contract is terminated.

This clause makes it clear that when the notice reaches the other party, the contract will be terminated, and there is no clear requirement for the notification method, that is to say, it can be notified by telephone or SMS. Therefore, the letter of termination is not necessary, and the other party can be notified in other ways.
