Content score ratio of CET-4 and CET-6 exam

1 . Listening comprehension part: The score ratio is 35; of which 15 are listening dialogues and 20 are listening essays. The listening dialogue part includes listening comprehension of short conversations and long conversations; the listening essay part includes multiple-choice essay comprehension and compound dictation.

2. Reading comprehension part: The score ratio is 35; of which 25 is the careful reading part and 10 is the quick reading part. The careful reading part is divided into: a) multiple-choice chapter reading comprehension; b) chapter-level vocabulary comprehension or short sentence question and answer. The speed reading comprehension section tests skimming reading and reading abilities.

3. Cloze part: The score ratio is 10. The cloze part uses single-choice questions, and the error correction part requires identifying errors and correcting them.

4. Writing and Translation Part: The score ratio is 20; of which 15 is the writing part and 5 is the translation part. The writing genres include argumentative essays, expository essays, practical essays, etc. The translation part tests the Chinese-English translation ability at the level of sentences, phrases or common expressions.

What are the passing standards for CET-4 and CET-6?

The full score for CET-4 and CET-6 is 710 points, and the default passing score is 425 points.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education, there is no passing line for the CET-6 exam. Those with a score of 425 or above for CET-4 can apply for CET-6. Therefore, it is generally believed that the passing line for CET-4 and CET-6 is 425 points.
