You didn't make it clear whether you are an Apple phone or an Android phone, because Android phones and Apple phones have different storage locations and display methods, so I explained the storage locations and display methods below. You can check them according to your phone type.

1.The storage location of the SMS folder of Android mobile phone, and open the SMS database file on the computer.

1. To find the folder where the SMS is located, we need to Root the Android phone first, because the SMS is stored in the system disk of the phone. Without Root, we can't directly access the files on the system disk. You can search online for "360 one-click Root" to root Android phones.

2. Then install a software called "RE Manager RootExplorer" on the Android phone.

3. Open the "RE Manager RootExplorer" software on the mobile phone and enter the "data \ data \ com.android.phoney \ databases" folder, where Android mobile phone messages are saved. Specifically, it is saved in "mmss. db" and "mmss. d b-wal" files. We can check these two files and copy them. If there is no "mmsms.db-wal" file in your mobile phone, it means that all your short messages are saved in the "mmsms.db" file, and there is no need to copy the "mmsms.db-wal" file.

3. After copying, we click the folder at the top of the "..." window to return to the previous folder until we return to the root directory.

4. Find the "sdcard" folder in the root directory, click to enter, and then paste the two (or one) files copied first into this folder.

5. Connect the mobile phone to the computer, then open the drive letter where the mobile phone is located, and copy and paste the file just copied to the sdcard into a folder of the computer again.

6. After exporting to the computer, the SMS database file cannot be opened directly. You can download any SMS recovery software, open the mmssms.db file, and recover the deleted SMS content in the Android phone.

Second, the storage location of Apple mobile phone short messages and opening them on the computer

1. Open iTunes software, and then connect your phone to your computer. Wait a few seconds. After the mobile phone is successfully connected to the computer, click the small icon of the mobile phone in the upper left corner of the iTunes software interface, then select "This computer", click the "Back up now" button, and then click "Don't back up the application" in the pop-up window, that is, click 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the following figure to export all the data in the mobile phone to the computer.

Note: Please do not check "Encrypt iPhone Backup". If it is encrypted, the exported SMS will also be encrypted, so the subsequent recovery operation will not be completed.

2. The backup time is related to the amount of software installed on your mobile phone, which may take several minutes to dozens of minutes. Please be patient. After the backup is completed, the progress bar at the top of the window will disappear. When you can't see the progress bar at the top, the backup has been completed. The following figure shows the window interface when a backup is in progress.

3. Open the "PP Assistant" software and click "Toolbox" and "iTunes Backup Management", as shown below:

4. Double-click the data you just backed up.

5. On the left side of the pop-up window, we can see "SMS", click it, then click "sms.db" on the right side, and then click the "Export" button to export the file.

Description: sms.db is a database file saved by Apple SMS, and all deleted and undeleted SMS messages are saved in this file.

6. Open any SMS recovery software, then click the menu "File", "Open SMS database file", and then select the sms.db file just exported.

7. Then we click on the menu "File" and "Restore Deleted SMS", and then the software will start scanning.

8. After waiting for a moment, the software will pop up a window, prompting the number of messages successfully recovered. At this time, you can click on the mobile phone number list on the left to view all deleted mobile phone messages on Apple's mobile phone.
