The "Nanchang Star" Ferris wheel, also known as Nanchang Star, is located in Jiangxi Ganjiang Citizen Park on the edge of the Ganjiang River in Hongjiaozhou, Honggutan New District, Nanchang City. The Ferris wheel is 160 meters high, making it the tallest Ferris wheel in China and second only to the Singapore Ferris Wheel (165 meters) in the world. It is a landmark building in Nanchang. The "Nanchang Star" Ferris wheel was designed by the Shanghai Branch of the China Coal Research Institute. The colorful lights on the wheel are composed of six to seven thousand LED semiconductor lighting devices. When all the lights are turned on, a giant color clock with a diameter of 153 meters can be displayed, and different patterns can be set as needed. Construction started in 2005 and was completed in 2006, with a total investment of 100 million yuan, interpreting Nanchang's high-spirited attitude as a dynamic city in the world and becoming one of Nanchang's important landmarks.
