Can the mobile phone card be located and tracked?

Mobile phone cards can locate and track, but only public security departments can locate and track according to regulations, and ordinary people can't.

In fact, the positioning of mobile phone cards is not very accurate. Because the signal located by the base station is easily interfered, it is inherently inaccurate. It can only be used as an aid for GPS\AGPS\ Beidou positioning, and its accuracy is about150m (basically the radiation range between base stations).

And the positioning condition must be when there is a base station signal. If the mobile phone is in the unregistered state of sim card (flight mode, turned off) and there is no data exchange with the base station, then the mobile phone number positioning function cannot be realized.

Mobile phone card location service

Mobile phone number positioning is actually the location service of mobile phone base station, also called LBS (location-based service). The location information (latitude and longitude coordinates) of mobile terminal users is obtained through the network of telecom mobile operators (such as GSM network).

Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom operators' networks obtain the location information of mobile terminal users, and the terminal needs to search the surrounding base station information (2G/3G/4G) to start after inserting the sim card. Of course, there is more than one base station that can be searched, and then the mobile phone will automatically select the connection with the best signal from these base stations to register the sim card, and the remaining base stations are still being searched.
