That's a good idea, but the question is how can the client notify the mobile phone? The mobile phone uses GSM network and the mail system uses TCP/IP protocol. There is no direct communication between the two. The way to define the client in the mail system is account/client IP. The server looks up the client according to the IP registered by the client, and then establishes a connection to send the mail. This is a very standard and common layer 3 network application, but the mobile phone in GSM network is not connected.

Before GPRS/CDMA 1x, there was no IP. It only exists in GSM network, and only operators can accurately find your mobile phone through your mobile phone number among thousands of terminals in Qian Qian. Two different languages "number" and "IP" can't talk. Only when the mobile phone is connected to the data network can it get an IP address and come to the same world as the mail system. The two can communicate with each other directly. The solution to this problem is actually very simple, as long as the operators support it. The general principle is that when a new mail arrives, the mail server sends a notice to the operator, and then the operator finds your mobile phone through the mobile phone number bound to this mailbox. This process is equivalent to the operator translating the email account and mobile phone number in his system to achieve the purpose of dialogue. After finding your mobile phone, the operator sends you the information of the email system through a special short message. After receiving this short message, the mobile phone will start the corresponding email software, connect to the data network to receive the email according to the preset settings, and disconnect after completion. In this way, the purpose of saving electricity and accepting emails in real time is achieved.

In fact, before BlackBerry entered China, both China Mobile and China Unicom had similar services, such as MMS of China Mobile. In essence, it can also be regarded as a kind of pushmail, except that its email address is a mobile phone number, which cannot be exchanged with ordinary Internet mail systems. Mobile SMS provides the URL of MMS, not email notification, which is essentially based on push wap, but it does realize real push. China Unicom's color E is more thorough. It can provide a mailbox for each 133 user. As long as an email is sent to this mailbox, the user's mobile phone will immediately receive a short message to inform you that there is a new email, and then automatically open the color email system on the mobile phone to receive the email. It is very convenient to automatically disconnect 1x data connection after acquisition. Users can also use the client on the mobile phone to send emails to any mailbox, which can be said to be a complete implementation of pushmail, but it also has the limitation that Unicom does not open this interface. Users can only choose to use Unicom's own mailbox, but this problem can also be solved. Users can set forwarding in their other mailbox systems, and once they go out, they can forward all the mail to this mailbox to realize complete mail carrying.
