The Civil Code clearly stipulates that no organization or individual may commit any acts that infringe on the privacy of others.

The Civil Code clearly stipulates that unless otherwise provided by law or with the explicit consent of the right holder, no organization or individual may carry out the following acts:

(1) Using telephone calls, text messages, or instant messaging tools Intruding on other people’s private lives and tranquility through such means as emails, flyers, etc.;

(2) Entering, photographing, and peeping into other people’s homes, hotel rooms and other private spaces;

(3) Photographing , Peeping, eavesdropping, and disclosing other people’s private activities;

(4) Photographing and peeping at other people’s private parts of the body;

(5) Processing other people’s private information;

(6) Infringe on the privacy rights of others in other ways.

Article 1034: The personal information of natural persons is protected by law.

Personal information is a variety of information recorded electronically or in other ways that can identify a specific natural person alone or in combination with other information, including the natural person's name, date of birth, ID number, biometric information, address, Phone number, email address, health information, whereabouts information, etc.

For private information in personal information, the provisions on privacy rights shall apply; if there are no provisions, the provisions on personal information protection shall apply.
