You can try this method.

1) preparation: first connect the mobile phone to the computer through the data cable;

2) Download itunes and the powerful Apple Recovery Wizard;

3) Click the recovery tool to enter the interface menu of "Recover from itunes backup files", click the "Select" button to add the data backed up by itunes, and then click the "Start Scanning" button at the lower right.

4) Click "Restore from itunes backup file", then click "Select" or "Customize to add database" at the bottom left (customization refers to the file that we manually backed up), and finally click "Start scanning" at the bottom to enter the scanning state immediately.

5) When the scanning task is completed, we can select the short message whose data needs to be restored in the left column, click the short message, or save the short message in the computer.
