Lawyer identity information can be checked through law firms, the Bureau of Justice, and the Lawyers Association.

A lawyer refers to a practitioner who has obtained a lawyer's practicing certificate in accordance with the law, accepts entrustment or designation, and provides legal services to parties. Lawyers should protect the legitimate rights and interests of the parties, maintain the correct implementation of the law, and maintain social fairness and justice.

Practice as a lawyer must abide by the Constitution and the law, and abide by lawyer professional ethics and practice disciplines; it must be based on facts and the law as the criterion; it must accept the supervision of the state, society and the parties involved.

Lawyers' practice in accordance with the law is protected by law, and no organization or individual may infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of lawyers.

The judicial administrative department shall supervise and guide lawyers, law firms and bar associations in accordance with this Law.

Article 5 To apply to practice law, one must meet the following conditions:

(1) Support the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China;

(2) Obtain legal professional qualifications through the National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination;

(3) Become a lawyer A one-year internship in a firm;

(4) Good conduct.

The national unified judicial examination certificate and lawyer qualification certificate obtained before the implementation of the national unified legal professional qualification examination have the same validity as the national unified legal professional qualification certificate. Article 6 To apply to practice law, an application should be made to the judicial administrative department of the district people's government of a city divided into districts or a municipality directly under the Central Government, and the following materials should be submitted:

(1) National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Certificate;

(2) Documents issued by the Lawyers Association indicating that the applicant has passed the internship assessment;

(3) Proof of identity of the applicant;

(4) Issued by the law firm Proof of consent to receive the applicant.

If you apply to practice law as a part-time lawyer, you must also submit proof that your employer agrees to the applicant's part-time practice as a lawyer.

The department that accepts the application shall review it within 20 days from the date of acceptance, and submit the review opinions and all application materials to the judicial administrative department of the people's government of the province, autonomous region, or municipality directly under the Central Government. The judicial administrative department of the people's government of the province, autonomous region, or municipality directly under the Central Government shall review the submitted materials within ten days from the date of receipt and make a decision on whether to allow practice. If the applicant is allowed to practice law, a lawyer's practicing certificate shall be issued to the applicant; if the applicant is not allowed to practice law, the reasons shall be explained in writing to the applicant.
