Warm reminder from QQ mailbox: When logging in to a third-party client, please enter the "authorization code" in the password box for verification. Can this be canceled?

When we want to log in to a new account on a third-party client, the following interface will appear. Click the corresponding option to enter the login interface of the mailbox. When we entered the correct account and password, the following dialog box popped up, telling us to activate the IMAP service. The so-called IMAP service is a protocol that allows third-party email clients to obtain emails from mail servers.

Solution steps:

Log in to the mailbox on the computer, click "Settings" to enter the mailbox settings.

After entering the email setting interface, click "Account" to enter the account settings.

Scroll down until the POP3/IMAP/SMTP/Exchange/CardDAV/CalDAV service settings appear, and click "Enable" in the "IMAP/SMTP Service" option.

The SMS verification interface appears. Operate as above. After sending a string of numbers to the specified phone number, click "I have sent".

After that, a pop-up window said that we have successfully started the IMAP/SMTP service, and a string of authorization codes appeared. This authorization code is the password we will use to log in to our mailbox later (it is best to write down the authorization code in advance) laptop, because the window will close after clicking OK).

After successfully opening it, you can set the "collection options" according to your needs. Then "Save Settings", here we have completed opening the IMAP service, and can successfully log in using a third-party email client
