The enemy pilot found the altitude of Songshan Mountain in Zhongyue1440m from the panoramic radar and immediately flew to the top of Songshan Mountain.

Before approaching the mountain peak, the enemy P-2V reconnaissance plane suddenly jumped over the mountain peak. The bright spot that Captain Zan of Suntech saw on the screen was not the P-2V reconnaissance plane, but the Songshan mountain peak!

It turns out that the radar of Suntech Zan unit can't effectively distinguish the echoes of mountain peaks and enemy planes, and still flies to the echo point of radar indicator at a height of 900 meters, but the echo of radar indicator is the echo of mountain peaks at this time.

As a result, the Du -2II fighter plane crashed about 80 meters below Songshan Peak before it could be pulled up, killing all four people on board!
