There is no difference between IOT card and ordinary mobile phone SIM card. Functionally, both of them can realize wireless networking, sending and receiving short messages and other functions. However, the IOT card cannot make voice calls.

IOT card is a public Internet of Things-based mobile communication access service provided by China Mobile for Internet of Things users. The Internet of Things special equal-sign segments of 144, 10647 and 10648 are adopted to support basic communication services such as short message, wireless data and voice through special network element devices, and provide intelligent connection services such as communication connection management and terminals.
