What is Fire Day?

Around this day, the air was dry and fires frequently occurred, and fire prevention work was in full swing all over the country in winter. In order to increase people's awareness of fire safety and make "1 19" more deeply rooted in people's hearts, the Ministry of Public Security launched "1 19" fire-fighting activities in some provinces and cities on 1992.

The Ministry of Public Security decided that the theme of the 2007 1 19 Fire Day publicity campaign was "Life First, Peace and Harmony". In order to cooperate with the task of the Fire Protection Work Center, further promote the implementation of the the State Council 15 document, better safeguard social security and harmonious development, and create a good fire safety environment for the country to welcome the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Ministry of Public Security requested to carry out the "1 19" fire protection day publicity campaign in 2007.

Composition of fire fighting forces

China's fire fighting force is mainly composed of public security fire brigade, local government full-time fire brigade and enterprise full-time fire brigade, with public security fire brigade as the main force. There are more than 6,543.8+0.5 million public security fire brigades, nearly 20,000 fire engines on duty, more than 7,800 full-time government fire brigades and enterprise fire brigades, and more than 6,543.8+0.2 million fire engines on duty.

In addition, the fire-fighting volunteer team in China has developed rapidly and has become an important social force to carry out socialized fire-fighting publicity and education under the new situation. More than 400 volunteer fire service teams, more than 7,700 service teams and more than 500,000 registered fire volunteers have been established nationwide.
